She calls him her “white wolf”. Ryder is actually not a wolf at all, but a stunning English Setter. This good natured boy is a huge part of their family. He loves cuddling and going for walks and even lets the kids dress him up. I was so in awe of his stunning coat. He was as soft as a bunny rabbit! I’ve seen Irish Setters before with their characteristic red coats, but I had never seen an English Setter. Being the dog lover that I am, I had to do a little reading on the breed. His gorgeous dalmatian like spots are actually called, blue belton. This means he has a white coat with long intermingling black hairs. I bet you didn’t know you were going to learn that when you visited my blog today!
We met up at one of my favorite spots on Camano Island for our session. It wasn’t exactly a blue bird, sunny day but those dark moody skies made for a perfect backdrop for our time at the beach. Ryder took Allison for a walk down the path (he’s a strong boy!) and we ended our session with snuggles on the blanket.
Take a peek at their slideshow. If you love dogs, you are guaranteed to smile. 🙂
