It was so much fun to get to visit with my friend Katie again. With her visiting from Texas, I knew I wanted to get together to capture a few photos of her before her little girl arrives soon. I only wish I could see their sweet baby girl and capture her earliest days for her!
You are about to become a mom, Katie. I am so happy for you. It is the most wonderful thing in the world and I know you will be an amazing mother. Your sweet baby is so lucky….
In just a few weeks, she will be welcoming home her husband after a long deployment in this beautiful dress. And hopefully will be welcoming their son a short time after…
And beautiful big sis, who can’t wait to meet her little brother… and give her daddy a hug.

I got to meet up with this sweet couple this week for their maternity session. I was so excited to see a gorgeous field behind their home. I am already dreaming of taking their sweet little newborn out there when he or she arrives. Fingers crossed for some lovely weather on the day of the sesssion!

It’s always such a joy to photograph expectant mommies. But I have to say, when it is the first baby it’s even a little more special. I remember those last few weeks of my first pregnancy like it was yesterday, not almost 6 years ago. The waiting, the wondering, the hoping…all of it will soon be over and you will be holding your sweet baby. Enjoy your last few weeks, Hailey. I look forward to meeting your beautiful baby daughter very soon.
It won’t be long and this sweet couple will become a family of three. It was so fun to meet Tim and Kim downtown for a fun maternity session. Just a few short weeks and they will be meeting their little one for the first time – there is no more exciting time in life. I am so happy for you both!

Many of you know that I am an only child. And my husband’s neices and nephews are grown or live very far away… this means that I don’t have many opportunities to be an Auntie. Lucky for me, I have a couple of best friends who are like family to me and my children. I am Auntie Melissa ( or Lissa or Missa… ) to their babies. And one of my sisters at heart is having her 3rd little bub in September.. and I can’t wait to meet him. A boy is about to join this gaggle of girls… and one thing I know for sure, no baby will be more loved (spoiled) than little Jesse is sure to be.
I got a chance to visit on Friday for a few pictures. It had been awhile since I had done photos of the girls. I also had to capture Wendy’s growing baby bump… and of course, her first baby Burner the horse had to be part of it all too.

After several weeks of rain, I got a chance to meet this incredibly gorgeous family for a session to celebrate the new little one on the way. Mom and Dad were so easy going and up for anything, even trudging through some pretty soggy ground to capture these field shots.
These were taken in the evening. There is simply no more amazing time to capture the light. I was so excited to see the beautiful field Mom picked out for this session. It was so glorious!
