We were so lucky to have a gorgeous spring evening for our session last week.  Mom and I had been watching the forecast and were ready to reschedule when the outlook miraculously changed and we were given the gift of beautiful sunshine.  We were able to schedule late enough to capture the most gorgeous evening light, just as the sun went down.   I think keeping those little ones up even a little past bedtime is worth it on a day as beautiful and as special as picture day!

Thank you Brad and Debbie for a wonderful, fun session! Your girls are just the cutest!

The rain didn’t dampen our fun even though it did force us to reschedule many sessions!  Living in the Pacific Northwest has been a bit tough this spring, hasn’t it?  I had such a lovely time meeting up with moms and their children for these sessions.  Here are just a few from this past weekend… more to come from other sessions soon!

Enjoy the little things,

for one day you may look back and realize

they were the big things.

I thought this recent session was the perfect one to share on this Mother’s Day weekend.  I hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day and spend time enjoying the little moments that make life so sweet.

My first session outdoors after a long, wet winter and it was so great to be outside again!   Little Finley has the most beautiful blue eyes, rosy cheeks and lots of spunk.    This session was full of tickles, hugs and laughter…  and so much fun!

I enjoyed every minute Megan and Gabe.  Finley is so much fun.  Thanks for a great session!

Oh how I love to watch her sleep, lost in peaceful dreams….

Such a fun session!  I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family before – in fact, mom was my first maternity client and little miss was one of my first newborns.  I love that I got a chance to capture them as a family now – so full of fun!

Thanks so much, Bob and Angie! I loved seeing you guys.  I hope you enjoy your little peek here on the blog… many more coming soon in your gallery!

since I’ve seen this adorable family and I love seeing how they have grown and changed.  Big sis is such a beautiful little lady who is excited about turning 3 and little man is now a curious, walking toddler.   Aren’t they just the cutest?

Thank you so much, Cody and Erika for coming to see me again.  I always enjoy seeing you and your sweet kiddos!

Remember these little darlings? Look how they have grown! Caroline and Olivia are 9 months old now and so full of personality. It was such a pleasure to get to see them and their sweet big sister again last week. I love getting a chance to photograph “my” families again and see how everyone is growing and changing.

Sweet Caroline…

Darling Olivia…

And lovely Sophia…

Thank you so much, Jessica and Chris for bringing the girls out past bedtime to visit me!  It was such a joy to see everyone again!

Before every session, I ask my clients to tell me something about themselves and what they would like to have me capture during their session.  When I read Susan’s answer, I knew I would love every minute of our session.   I hope you don’t mind me sharing here, Susan.  But your words are exactly what I want people to have after our time together… photographs of their family that capture their hearts.

“Matt and I are best friends.  Very very much in love.  We always have a good time together and with our wonderful kids. LOTS of love and fun is what we would like to have captured. Kind of like our everyday life.”

Thanks so much for such a fun evening, Susan and Matt. Your family is beautiful!

We’ve had this session planned for almost a year.  Somehow, each time we were set to do it something would inevitably interfere.  Life with kids is always unpredictable that way!  I finally got to meet up with this fun family whom I have known for many years. In fact, we were neighbors long before any of us had children and Mom and I taught together for seven years before I had Will.  It was so fun to meet up and be able to photograph their amazing kids.   We ran, played, and jumped and I will admit I was a bit worn out at the end of the night… but it was so worth it…

I am so glad we were finally able to meet up, Kerri and Roger.  Your kids are so much fun and it was great seeing you all again.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
