After rescheduling because of rain last month, we were determined not to let the rain stop us this time.  But my goodness, it was cold!  Little Teagan was so adorable and was such a trooper despite the sprinkles and chilly weather.  We lasted about 20 minutes!  So expect to see more of this little cutie soon when we finish her session next month!

Everything about this little one was divine perfection.  He slept so peacefully during our entire session, all 11 pounds of him.   I so enjoyed my time with him….

Thank you so much Stephanie and Kyle for sharing your beautiful little boy with me.

Baby mine, don’t you cry
Baby mine, dry your eyes
Rest your head close to my heart
Never to part, baby of mine

You’re so precious to me
Cute as can be, baby of mine

Sweet baby Kamilla was a little unsettled during the early moments of our session together.  But being held in the arms of her mommy and cuddled by her daddy calmed this sweet little one right down.  We were able to capture sweet, loving moments between this beautiful family.

I loved our time together and I hope you enjoy this blog sneak peek, Kori and Jason.

“It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.”

- Laura Ingalls Wilder

That quote appears in the opening slideshow on my website.  I love it so much.   I always hope my work reflects just that… sweet, simple and real moments.  The kind of every day moment that you will one day look back on with a smile, remembering just how you were and just how you felt in that moment.  This session with sweet baby Rose could not have been more perfect.  And I hope that these images capture those special moments for this new family… a new family full of love.

Thank you so much, Mychel and Connor for a lovely session.  She is such a precious little lady.

Happiness is made to be shared.

I can only imagine the wonderful adventures these two will share as they grow up together, best friends from the start.  Twins are such an amazing blessing.  I was so lucky to spend a quiet morning with these two beautiful boys.

Thank you so much for bringing your sweet boys to see me, Lori and Chris.  I loved capturing them at their littlest for you… so precious.

Penelope Grey… oh how I love that name! What a little doll she was… all dressed in her adorable hat and handkerchief made by her super talented Mommy.   With her inquisitive blue eyes, she definitely captured my heart.

And we were able to take advantage of the one break in the rain we had last week and capture a few images outdoors…

Brittnie and Galen, I loved meeting you and your adorable little Penelope.  You were so easy to work with and I even found myself singing a few of your songs later that day, Brittnie! Thanks so much for bringing P to see me.  I will be in touch very soon…

How quickly a year goes… seems like only yesterday I was photographing little Jake’s newborn session and now here he is,  a toddler on the go.  You can see his newborn session here.   After being a little unsure at first, he was all smiles by the end. Such an adorable little man.

Thank you Candice and David for asking me to photograph little Jake.  He is so handsome! It was great visiting with you again.

When thinking about little Teagan’s session, I envisioned soft colors, my vintage baby bed, and her sweet face. Little did I know, Mom was planning to bring a dress that belonged to her mother.  A family heirloom.  It could not have been more perfect. When I saw her grandmother’s dress, I think I might have clapped and squealed out loud. It fit perfectly into the vision I had for Teagan’s 8 month photos.

Simple. Sweet. Pure.

We were even able to go outside thanks to our gorgeous November weather…

Thank you so much Hailey for bringing sweet Teagan to see me again.  I hope these photos captured your sweet girl just the way you hoped they would.  I’ll be in touch soon…

It’s always such a pleasure to spend a morning with a beautiful newborn baby.  Little Ryley was so peaceful during our session.   And it’s perfectly clear how adored he is by his big sister…

Thank you so much, Amanda and Kyle for sharing your lovely little boy with me last week.  It was so great to meet you and your sweet family.

Little Summit made the long drive up here to see me and I am so thankful he did.  I was able to capture his beautiful sleepy smiles.  Those fleeting little smiles that grace a sleeping baby’s face just melt me.

“The smile that flickers on a baby’s lips when he sleeps – does anybody know where it was borne?

Yes, there is a rumor that a young pale beam of a crescent moon touched the edge of a vanishing autumn cloud

and there the smile was first born…”

Thank you so much Cedar and Terah for bringing your sweet little man to see me.  Such a beautiful family you have!
