Happy Thanksgiving
November 25, 2009It is hard to believe that it is actually Thankgiving tomorrow. I feel this way every year – somehow, it sneaks up on me. I have so many memories of Thankgiving at my Granny’s tiny little house - all of the women in the family gathered around a table meant for 4 and the men in the living room with TV trays and football games with the TV blaring much too loudly. And when Grandpa was still alive, he was sleeping soundly in the chair soon after dinner with his mouth open. I could go on and on about the little details. I’m sure that many of you have memories like this. And even though Granny complained some, the house was always much too hot, and over the years it was extremely crowded as our families grew – these are memories I will carry with me forever. The moments I will never forget. They are the fabric that make up my childhood.
I hope that as my children grow up, they will be surrounded by the love of family. We are so lucky to be together, to be loved by each other – every minute a blessing.
And through the chaos and the noise of life, I actually was lucky to catch them together with my camera the other day. My sweet babies – healthy and happy, loving on each other. Does it get any better than that?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
