8 days old and sweet as can be.  Little Miss Brinley was such a wonderful little model for our session this week.  She was so content and slept her way through almost the whole 3 hours.    We had a lovely time and I always feel so lucky to be able to spend a few hours with these new little ones – so sweet and pure.    Their ‘newness’ never gets old to me.

Thank you Amy and Bruce for having me to your home to photograph your little sweetie.  She is absolutely perfect in every way (but you knew that already!)

Schedule Update

October 24, 2009

Hi everyone!  Fall is busy, busy, busy! I wanted to let you know that I am completely booked for the remainder of this year.  Right now, I am only booking newborn sessions for 2010.   I will open my winter-spring calendar in December.  I’ve created an email list of interested clients.  Please contact me if you would like to be added to the list.   Due to our cold and wet winter weather, I will only be doing newborns, maternity and babies under 1 year (non walkers) for the winter sessions.

I am fortunate to have many newborns coming up in the next few months.  So be prepared for an overload of newborn cuteness in my coming blog posts.   And because no post is complete without a photo, here are a few of Miss Maddy from just last week.

Thanks everyone!

My last senior of the season… sigh.  I have found that I LOVE photographing high school seniors and Karissa could not have been more fun!  A suitcase full of clothes and a sassy little personality – she knew how to work the camera. And I loved it!  We have been planning this session since July and I think we got it in just in time before fall officially set in.

I loved photographing you, Karissa.  I really had the hardest time choosing photos for this blog post.  I have so many favorites!  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek…

And to the seniors out there, I will begin taking senior sessions again in spring.  My spring-fall dates book quickly, so 2011 seniors please don’t wait too long to contact me.  Summer is a great time for your sessions!

Now… on to a fall and winter full of newborn yumminess!  Babies, babies and more babies on the books! Can’t wait!

I sit here trying to think of something to say about this beautiful family.   Something that will sum up just how wonderful they are,  how important they are to me and my own family, just how lucky we are to have them as our friends.  We’ve been friends since high school and now get to watch our kids grow up together.    They are truly more than friends – they are family.

I got a chance to photograph them this weekend.   And I must say, don’t they look GREAT!  Their outfits are perfect for photos – colors that compliment, solids and simple patterns, layers and textures.    I had chatted with  Lisa about the clothes and consulted a bit,  but I was so excited to see them step out of the car with it all put together just perfectly!

I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek… love you guys! xoxo

I had to put the two below side by side.  I had told her there was a little fairy who lived in the barn and that she had to be very still and very quiet so she wouldn’t frighten the fairy away.  And just at the perfect moment,  a bird chirped and her face lit up!  She was certain it was the fairy!

blogI love how content you are here, Lisa. Beautiful.

TJ | Class of 2010

October 10, 2009

It doesn’t seem possible that TJ could be old enough to be graduating already.  My little cousin who was once obsessed with the choo-choo train and loved wearing his little boots everywhere (just like his dad) is now 18 and all grown up.    It was nice getting a chance to photograph him this week.  We got some great shots.  Here are just a few for now…

One of my favorites so far…

There is something good about a little one who wakes up before dawn… you get a chance to enjoy the beautiful sunrise each morning.  The beautiful golden light, fresh dew on the grass and the promise of a brand new day.

I decided to take my little lady out this morning and capture the light as it came over the hills behind our house.  As you can see, she loved every minute.    The morning light, almost as bright and beautiful as her sweet little face… my darling girl.  Oh, how I love you!
