I love getting a chance to come back and meet the gorgeous babies of the mommies from my maternity sessions.   See his beautiful momma here. Little Hawke was 12 days old and so adorable. We chose the hottest day of the year for his session and thank goodness for the rest of us for air conditioning! Hawke, of course, loved the heat…

Thank you Erika and Cody for giving me a chance to photograph your new sweet boy. I have so enjoyed working with you. You are just a gorgeous family!

One of the best things about my wonderful job is meeting such sweet families. I had been looking forward to meeting Jenny for several months and getting a chance to have a session on their beautiful land… 60 acres of gorgeous fields, the scraggly orchard, horses, surrounded by mountains, and evening light… oh and did I mention their four adorable children? It was like a dream session for me!

Thank you so much for inviting me to your home! I had such a fun time. Your children are not only adorable but so sweet and helpful. They made my job easy… well, the Smarties helped a little too, I guess.

Here’s a sneak peek for you…enjoy!

Many of you know that I am an only child.    And my husband’s neices and nephews are grown or live very far away… this means that I don’t have many opportunities to be an Auntie.   Lucky for me,  I have a couple of best friends who are like family to me and my children.  I am Auntie Melissa ( or Lissa or Missa… ) to their babies.  And one of my sisters at heart is having her 3rd little bub in September.. and I can’t wait to meet him.  A boy is about to join this gaggle of girls… and one thing I know for sure, no baby will be more loved (spoiled) than little Jesse is sure to be.

I got a chance to visit on Friday for a few pictures. It had been awhile since I had done photos of the girls.  I also had to capture Wendy’s growing baby bump… and of course, her first baby Burner the horse had to be part of it all too.

Thanks for being my friend, W. Love you all so much. xoxo

The adorable Miss Lyla… who is sure to be a partner in crime with her baby brother…

Grace, the big sis who is sure to keep them both in line…

Each newborn I have the great fortune to meet is different… some sleep more, others are awake, some like to be on their backs, others prefer to be curled up just like they were in the womb they left only days before. Sweet Charlotte was one of those sleepy, content little angels that was happy to curl up on her tummy and let me photograph her for hours.   We had the chance to be both inside and outside for our session.   Taking a newborn outside is something I love, but rarely get to do. I truly did not want to stop!  She is such a divine little beauty.

Thank you for inviting me to document your daughter’s early days. As you already know, she is absolutely precious.   I have so many to share from our session…

We are all so lucky to live in this great country.  Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve for our freedom.

Wishing you all a happy and safe 4th of July.  As someone who lost a friend to drinking and driving on this weekend 17 years ago, please be safe out there on the roads.  ♥
Happy 4th everyone!
